8th Sunday after Pentecost-22
Sermon Text: Mark 8 Jesus said: “I have compassion (on _______).” This is one word in New Testament Greek: splangknitzomai. It means He felt it in His guts, in the intestines, like when your stomach is twisted in knots. His mercy is a physical thing where Jesus literally aches for you and about you, knowing all the things in your life, all your needs, your welfare, your ups, and downs. This is His compassionate care for you.
