Hope is a mission congregation serving the Cedar Park/Leander area of Central Texas.  

Hope Lutheran Church Timeline

2011

The Evangelical Lutheran Synod sent Pastor Brad Kerkow as a missionary along with his family, to start this new congregation in the  Suburbs of Austin, Texas.

2012

Hope purchased land across the road from the Williamson County Regional Park. For 7 years, Hope’s Members worshiped at the parsonage on the veranda located at the back of the home.

 

2016

Hope called a second missionary, Pastor Ruiz & his family, to help with Hope’s mission work in the surrounding area!

“He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two…” Mark 6:7

2017

Hope began to build a new sanctuary on the land next to the pastor’s home. It was completed in late fall of the same year.

2021

Pastor Kerkow received a call to become the Evangelism Mission Counselor for the Synod.

2022

Rev. Jerry Gernander was then called to serve at Hope and is our current pastor.

 

 

2022

Peter Estrem Jr., a memb er at Hope, entered Bethany Theological Lutheran Seminary. We were blessed to have him preach for us during one of his visits to his home in 2023.

2025->

As we move forward we thank God for the blessings He has shared with us and for all the future blessings yet to come.
